Why choose Nordic Kata Tipi tents?


Handcrafted from high quality canvas and ethically sourced late-maturing spruce from Northern Scandinavia, our Nordic Kata Tipis (or Teepees) are a very unique alternative and cater towards people looking for something completely different. Their unique design allows you to incorporate them into absolutely any space as they seamlessly blend into the surrounds of your venue. It means your aesthetic is never compromised. They are simply awe-inspiring and enchanting.




How much space is needed to set up the tents?


Each of our Nordic Kata Tipis has a diameter of 34 ft with their sides down and stands approximately 24 ft high. The exact space required depends on the number of tents you desire and the configuration you select. Please refer to our “nordic kata tipi rental” page for more information and give us a call for your set-up requirements.




I would love to book the tents for an event. What is the next step?


Please contact us and we will provide you with a customized quote based on your event. Once agreed, we will send you a booking form and an invoice with deposit details. Once that is paid, you dates are officially secured.




Do you require a deposit to book?


Yes, we require a 25% non-refundable deposit for tent rental.




Is set-up and pack-down included in the price?


Yes, we include the set-up and pack-down in the price. Additional fees may be applied if access to the site is restricted.




What are the site requirements?


1. Good access for our 4x4 truck with long trailer. Additional fees will be applied if trailer and truck access is restricted. 2. Flat, level ground 3. Well drained ground and free from flooding 4. Free from underground services (septic tanks, cable lines, phone lines, water pipes or anything else that could be damaged by insertion of 60cm stakes into the ground) If you have any questions about the suitability of your event site, we would be happy to schedule a site visit.




What happens if the weather is terrible?


Our Nordic Kata Tipis are custom made using traditional methods and modern technology, making them very strong and waterproof. Rain is never an issue, unless your site is at risk of flooding. If strong winds are forecast, we may need to adjust when we set up the tents and how the sides are configured. If this is the case, we will work with you to determine the best schedule and configuration. As with any outdoor event, we are at the mercy of mother nature; it never hurts to have a plan B.

Do you provide power for the lighting?


No, but we can take power from a nearby building or a generator.




What other items do you rent?


Nordic Kata Tipi tent rental includes internal café style string lights. We do offer canopy tents, naked katas (canvas free option) and small tipi arbours as alternate structures. In addition, we have flooring and a range of lighting options for indoors and outdoors.

While we do not provide furniture and décor, we work with a number of very reliable and professional local rental companies. We love nothing more than supporting local businesses and would be happy to provide some suggestions based on your style and requirements.




I don't have a location. Will you provide a venue?


We do not have a venue but would be happy to provide venue recommendations for events of all sizes and budgets.




What does Kohkos Events use for flooring?


We use high quality woven poly fibre flooring with waterproof underlay. The flooring looks great and is also high heel friendly.

What types of events do you plan?


We offer services from start to finish on both commercial and private events. These range from corporate events, government functions, sporting events, festivals, graduation ceremonies, company award evenings, pop-up events and private functions. Please see "an insight into our experience" for some examples of the events we have worked on. We are also your operation gurus! We do on-site coordination for weddings and all manner of events, taking care of all your on-site logistics so you can enjoy your event. Nothing is too big or too small for us.




What event management services do you provide?


We provide complete event management services, from concept to execution. We handle all details involved with the event process so you can focus on what is important to you. These include all behind-the-scenes aspects of your event such as pre-event planning, logistics, vendor management, staff & volunteer management, detailed timeline creation, on-site management, set-up and pack-down, and anything else you can think of.




What countries do you provide destination event services for?


While we can provide destination events for any country, we specialize in Australia, Thailand, Singapore, Qatar and Bali. We've lived and worked in these places and are well positioned to source the perfect location and the most suitable suppliers for your needs.

We will take care of all the planning so you can concentrate on the reason you have travelled to your destination event.




Do you organize flights?


We do not organize flights; however, we will look after all your ground transport requirements once you arrive.
